The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all UN member states, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and our planet.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership. The SDGs address global challenges including those related to poverty, inequality, climate, environmental degradation, prosperity, and peace and justice.

The Goals are interconnected and it is important that each goal is achieved and targeted by 2030.

Everyone plays a vital role in achieving the SDGs — because everything you do makes a difference.

There is a formal cooperation between Festa and the Icelandic government in introducing the SDGs to Icelandic companies, municipalities and organisations. The cooperation involves various informative and educational programs about the SDGs.

The National Statistical Institute of Iceland has launched a website with the Iceland data for Sustainable Development Goal indicators.
